Cranberry Apple Tea Mocktail

It actually tastes like winter. Seriously, if ever a mocktail was winter in a glass, it's this Cranberry Apple Tea Mocktail. A homemade cranberry simple syrup, freshly brewed tea... It's just TOO good, let's get into it.

The Simple Syrup

It truly is simple and easy to make. Grab the recipe right here on the blog . Fresh cranberries and sugar make the perfect sweet and tangy syrup for sodas, mocktails and more. We also used it in a delicious milk tea.

Tea-Tail

That's what I like to call my mocktails that are made with tea such as this. I used a loose-leaf blend "apple dumpling tea" that I got from a local market. Which is a blend of black tea, dried apple pieces, cinnamon bits, nutmeg, citrus peels and cloves. I've linked some similar teas in our Amazon storefront that would work perfectly here.

I'm already a huge tea lover. (tea over coffee for me on almost ANY day) So, I've been experimenting with using lots of different teas in place of spirits in cocktail recipes. Now while I do enjoy a good glass of wine or sweet and fruity cocktail, I don't partake very often because alcohol can often worsen my symptoms or trigger pain for me with my Endometriosis. One yummy cocktail is certainly not worth a bloated belly and a night of pain, for me. What I really love about a cocktail anyway is the blending of flavors that create a delicious sip. I like when they're pretty too. I can get all of that in a good mocktail, or tea-tail. Bonus, I can share with my mini bestie too :)

No real Measurements just vibes

Okay, so I used the larger side of my jigger to add in the cranberry simple syrup, but then I poured a little more and added that in also. SO, my advice is to add in the simple syrup to your desired level of sweetness. I'm guessing I went with about 2-3oz. I brewed my tea in my small French press and that makes about 12oz of tea.

I let my tea brew and then cool a bit. Then I added my tea, cranberry simple syrup and ice to my shaker and shook it up. I used a coupe glass, but use whatever glass makes you feel a little fancy. I garnished my mocktail with an apple slice and a few dashes of cinnamon. Absolutely delicious.

Make this one for your guest, a cozy date night in and of course this is one the mini's can enjoy also. You better believe Cori had a glass, ha! Cheers :)
